The nerds are then summoned to the Throne Room where Todd the Bod is voted into the Nerd Off by his team
Team Smash votes in Kaitlin
The Nerd Off is apparently going to be about Myths and Gods. Mostly the way the hosts describe the challenge it seems like they are going to have to match items to their owners a la Poseidon has a Trident.
About a thousand people collect around Caprica 6 Kaitlin to help her study for the upcoming event while Todd the Bod only gets Ori. Ori is sweet about the whole thing though and says he feels sad for Todd because he “evil villained” himself into a corner. HAHAHA what a great term to describe it. The rest of studying is fairly uneventful so on to the challenge
So Kaitlin and Todd will have to match items to their gods and the first to 4 matches wins. But Bewaaaaaare! The armies of Hades (a sumo wrestler??????? I don’t get it) are there to stop them. Heather muses in a fabulous interview that she would like to be in the nerd off to find out what pushing up against that body would feel like. My guess is silly putty.
Up first is Cylon Kaitlin, who gets the myth Odysseus – so it could be a bow, jar of winds, spear for the cyclops. So many choices. Kaitlin initially picks up the globe (nooooo) but eventually settles on the Trojan Horse because to her, picking horses is never a bad choice and she is right
Todd gets the myth Perseus and Todd picks a snake. Which is not correct. Kaitlin gets to try next and picks a shield because Perseus slew Medusa with a mirrored shield. Duh. Apparently Todd was kinda close but he clearly hasn’t seen Clash of the Titan recently
Kaitlin (who is up 2-0 and has mentioned horses 6 times in the past 2 minutes) gets the myth Dionysus and incorrectly grabs olives. Instead Todd gets a chance and incorrectly grabs the branch of ygdrassil (sp?). Kaitlin grabs the theater masks and is up 3-0.
Todd’s turn and he gets the myth Prometheus, to which the nerd peanut gallery (via confessional) quickly figures out means he has to grab the fire torch. Which he doesn’t. When it’s Kaitlin’s turn however, she quickly dodges the absolutely useless sumo wrestler (I still don’t get it) and…..
So Todd takes his loss with a bit of class and proceeds to start walking off in the distance. But Rainbow Bright is having non of that and encourages him to come back for a big group hug because friendship always rules the day and in the end they are all friends blah blah blah. It was nice to see them accept him in the end and have him not leave on a sour note.
So what did you all think of this weeks episode? So much drama right? What do people think about the Oar-i incident? Was Heather in the wrong? Do you believe in the Power of Friendship? More importantly though, who do you think is going to win? I kinda have my money on Jonathan at the moment or maybe Amanda. But I would love to see Kaitlin stick around for a while. She is TV gold! Sound off below in the comments
As always! Thank you all for reading and I hope you enjoyed and got a few laughs out of this! Thanks to everyone on twitter who shares this and spreads the news. You Nerdtestants (past and present) make my day when you retweet and comment so positively toward me. Aka I’m just a normy living in NC haha.
See ya next week you fabulous nerds!
