Now its time for the actual challenge. I’m sensing we are going to have a lot of wet nerds. I’m hoping that nerds are like gremlins and go crazy when they get wet. Plus we get a good look at their boats.
So upon initial reaction, it seems as though House Hooloovoo’s boats aren’t very tall and as soon as someone steps into it, it’s gonna sink. But on the other hand, Team Smash’s looks like a child made them, so it really is anyone’s game.
So the rules for the challenge are thus
1. Teams must retrieve sunken clues from the pool
2. The clues will have the combination to a locked chest containing a leaf crown
3. The teams then return across the pool and place it on a bust to win
Oh and if the boat sinks, they have to continue and drag it behind with them. Seems like it would be faster just to sink the boat on purpose. Just saying.
Team Smash gets off to a super fast start and House Hooloovoo struggles to get into their boats.
Apparently Team Smash never learns either and post Oar-i Incident, they had the genius idea of putting Heather and Ori in the same boat
Heather proves she is a boss bitch and keeps Ori in line due to his tendency to not pay attention to a goddamn thing around him. OK now I know Heather is getting a lot of shit for how she treated Ori in this scene, but honestly, I don’t blame her at all. We all know Ori’s track record of doing his own thing whenever he wants. He needs a firm hand to keep him focused. Did she maybe go a little overboard? Yes. However, I ultimately am attributing her boats success to the fact that she made him work with her as a team. But maybe it’s just cause I like her confessionals and that is swaying me to her side. Who knows? I’m in a weird kinda mood today.
On the other side of the pool Team Cylon-Bright’s boat is kicking ass and cruising at super speed around the pool. Meanwhile the other Hooloovoo ship is not…
God if the editors layered in Celine Dion right now, I might pee my pants. However, despite the chaos, House Hooloovoo has passed the other team and Queen Cylon Kaitlin is tackling the math puzzle. Team Smash quickly catches up, but not before Boat MathCat pulls a Frozen and tips over ceremoniously.
House Hooloovoo is having trouble with the math problems because we finally found a weakness in the fabulous enigma that is Queen Cylon Kaitlin. See has never taken geometry. Wait…. isn’t that taught in like Middle Schools all over America as a requirement? Where are you from woman?
So is takes Jonathan approximately 2 seconds to do all the math problems but now the issue is that they don’t know what order they go in and there are 125 ish combinations. Like divine intervention, Smug Colby figures out that all of the lettered variables in the math puzzles spells the word NERDS and that is the order they go in. Good for you Colby! You contributed to this episode! Team Smash opens their box and grabs the crown. We also get this glorious leap back into the boat by Heather
Both Team Smash’s boats are about as useful as I thought they would be.
