Hello Trashonistas! What an episode! So much to cover, so let’s get started.
We open this episode, as usual at the Refinery Hotel, where Justin and Bradon are discussing the recent double-elimination of Alexander and Kate. Justin thought that he was going to be eliminated and he tells us that he feels like the underdog because he hasn’t won a competition (although I still think he should’ve won the fan/”real woman” challenge). Helen says she was not expecting Kate to go and Alexandria says that now the “play field is level”. Um, if the only way you think the playing field is leveled is to have a stronger competitor than you leave, then you’re already losing.
On the runway, Heidi and Tim greet the designers and remind them that this challenge will determine which of them will continue forward to New York Fashion week. Heidi tells them that the “sausage is dangling” in front of their noses.
For this challenge, the designers are going on a field trip to the Sweetbriar Nature Center in Long Island, where Tim will meet them to go over the details.
When the designers arrive at the nature center, they discover butterflies. This delights Helen, who lets us know that butterflies are, like, her favorite. She even has a monarch butterfly tatoo.
In the butterfly house, Tim introduces the designers to Billy B., consulting makeup artist for L’Oreal.
